The Safety Management Department is a centralized location for managing a wide variety of programs that provide for the safety and security of St. Patrick Hospital & Health Sciences Center's (SPHHC) patients, visitors, employees and property.  Members of the Safety Management Department are responsible for patrolling over 2.2 million square feet of SPHHC property on two separate campuses.  The EMT/Safety & Security Officer is the core of the Safety Management Department and has four primary areas of responsibility and multiple collateral responsibilities.  Each Officer serves as a valuable resource to SPHHC employees 24/7.

Required Qualifications:
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association 
  • Within 60 days of hire Montana PSP Security Guard License - Montana Board of Private Security 
  • Within 1 year of hire Montana Emergency Medical Technician License 
  • Within 6 months (180 days) of hire Management of Aggressive Behavior Certification 
  • Prior typing/keyboard experience required to enter and retrieve data in an accurate and timely manner.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree
  • 2 years of experience military, law enforcement or private security.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position.  The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
