Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse Manager with a strong Oncology Nursing background for a 13-week contract assignment in Moab, Utah.
This leadership role is ideal for an RN who combines hands-on oncology experience with proven supervisory and team-management skills. The Nurse Manager will oversee day-to-day nursing operations, support clinical staff, promote high-quality patient care, and help maintain an effective and collaborative work environment.
Candidates must have at least 2 years of Oncology Nursing experience, a minimum of 3 years of recent RN experience, prior leadership or supervisory experience, and current Utah RN licensure.
The schedule is primarily Monday through Friday but requires flexibility and participation in an on-call rotation that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Key Responsibilities
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Provide leadership and operational oversight for assigned nursing services.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Supervise, support, and coordinate nursing staff and daily clinical operations.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Promote safe, high-quality, patient-centered care.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Support oncology nursing workflows and ensure appropriate standards of care are followed.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Assist with staffing, scheduling, coverage, and workload coordination.

路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Help build and maintain a cohesive, professional, and collaborative nursing team.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Respond to clinical and operational issues in a timely and professional manner.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Collaborate with physicians, nursing leadership, pharmacy, ancillary departments, and hospital administration.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Support safe administration and monitoring of oncology and infusion therapies within applicable scope and policies.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Ensure appropriate documentation and use of electronic health records.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Monitor compliance with hospital policies, nursing standards, and regulatory requirements.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Participate in quality-improvement and patient-safety initiatives.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Help identify workflow issues and implement practical process improvements.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Assist with orientation and onboarding of new staff.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Support staff education and ongoing clinical competency.

Required Qualifications
Candidates must have:
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Utah
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Minimum 3 years of recent RN experience
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Minimum 2 years of Oncology Nursing experience
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 ONS certification required
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Current BLS
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Current ACLS
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Previous supervisory, charge nurse, management, or other formal healthcare leadership experience
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Strong experience with electronic health records
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Ability to lead and support a multidisciplinary nursing team
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information appropriately

Schedule & On-Call Requirements

The facility defines the workweek as beginning Sunday at 12:01 AM and ending Saturday at 11:59 PM.
Work Environment
This position is within an acute-care hospital environment with Level IV trauma capabilities.
The Nurse Manager must be comfortable balancing administrative leadership responsibilities with the clinical realities of an active hospital environment. Strong judgment, emotional maturity, adaptability, and the ability to handle changing priorities are important for success.
