Inside Sales Associate - Building & Home Products

We are seeking a friendly, knowledgeable, and motivated Inside Sales Associate to join a company specializing in home, construction, and building products.

This position will assist customers who come into the store looking for products, materials, and solutions for home improvement, construction, repair, or building projects. The ideal candidate will be comfortable speaking with customers, learning product information, answering questions, and helping turn customer needs into sales.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and determine what products or materials they are looking for
  

• Assist customers with selecting appropriate home and building products
  

• Explain product features, options, pricing, and availability
  

• Provide knowledgeable recommendations based on customer needs and projects
  

• Generate sales and help customers complete purchases
  

• Prepare quotes, estimates, and product orders
  

• Answer incoming phone calls and assist customers with product questions
  

• Follow up with customers regarding quotes, orders, and product availability
  

• Build positive relationships with contractors, homeowners, builders, and repeat customers
  

• Enter customer and sales information accurately into the computer system
  

• Process payments and sales transactions as needed
  

• Coordinate with warehouse or delivery staff regarding customer orders
  

• Maintain knowledge of current products, pricing, promotions, and inventory
  

• Help keep the sales counter, showroom, and customer areas organized and professional
  

• Assist with additional sales and customer service duties as needed
  

Requirements

• Previous sales, retail, customer service, building materials, construction, hardware, or home improvement experience is preferred
  

• Strong customer service and communication skills
  

• Comfortable talking with customers and recommending products
  

• Ability to learn different building and home product lines
  

• Basic computer and data-entry skills
  

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  

• Comfortable preparing quotes and discussing pricing with customers
  

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  

• Dependable, professional, and motivated to meet sales goals
