SMS group is an industrial equipment manufacturer for the steel industry. We design, build, and service equipment and sleep
plants across the globe with a strong technical services/machine shop network in North America.
Summary
The right candidate will:
路 Perform welding operations such as arc, MIG, TIG brazing and burning in all positions on a variety of
metals.
路 Operate drill press to make parts for fabrication.
路 Record measurements, record pertinent information as required.
路 Weld per SMAW, GMAW, GTAW standards; vertical up, vertical down, and horizontal
路 Plasma arc cutting
路 Air carbon arc cutting
路 Pipe bending, fitting, welding, and threading
路 Use horizontal and vertical saws, torch, and cut off wheel
路 Set up and operate all welding machines, be able to do basic troubleshooting
路 Set up and operate all machines in the fabrication area, be able to do basic troubleshooting
What you鈥檒l need:
路 Must have GED or High school Diplomas
路 Basic knowledge of mechanical applications
路 Follow instructions and established procedures.
路 Read and interpret prints, including welding prints
