The Retreat Nursing Home is seeking a compassionate, dependable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our nursing team.
At The Retreat, our nurses play an important role in creating an environment where residents receive high-quality clinical care while being treated with dignity, compassion, and respect. As a smaller skilled nursing facility, we offer nurses the opportunity to truly know their residents, work closely with nursing leadership, and be an important part of the care team.
What You’ll Do
As an LPN at The Retreat, you will provide and coordinate nursing care for residents in accordance with physician orders, individualized care plans, facility policies, and applicable standards of practice. Responsibilities include:
Provide direct nursing care and oversee resident care during the assigned shift
Administer medications and treatments accurately and timely
Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly communicate concerns to the appropriate provider and nursing leadership
Complete nursing assessments and documentation accurately and timely
Implement and follow individualized resident care plans
Communicate with physicians, providers, residents, families, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team
Provide direction and supervision to CNAs and other assigned nursing staff within the LPN's scope of practice
Respond appropriately to changes in resident condition and emergency situations
Assist with admissions, transfers, discharges, and other clinical processes
Follow infection prevention, medication management, resident safety, and quality-of-care practices
Protect resident rights, privacy, dignity, and confidentiality
Participate in maintaining a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment
What We’re Looking For
Current Georgia Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing
Long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred, but not required
Strong clinical judgment, organizational skills, and attention to detail
Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, providers, and coworkers
Dependability and the ability to work effectively as part of a nursing team
Commitment to providing compassionate, resident-centered care
