Pay Range:$80,000 to $100,000
Job Summary
All-Current Electric is entering an exciting phase of growth and market expansion, driven by strong demand across critical electrical infrastructure sectors. As we continue to scale our operations, expand our branch footprint, and strengthen our position in the electrical distribution marketplace, we are seeking an experienced Senior Purchasing Agent to lead one of our most strategic product categories: circuit breakers.
This is far more than a traditional buying role. The Senior Purchasing Agent will serve as a key business partner to Supply Chain, Sales, Operations, and Executive Leadership, helping drive profitability, sourcing strategy, inventory optimization, and supplier negotiations in a fast-moving market where pricing and availability can change weekly. For a purchasing professional who thrives on market intelligence, strategic sourcing, and driving business results, this represents an opportunity to make a significant impact on a growing organization. The ideal candidate brings deep circuit breaker knowledge, strong negotiation abilities, and a proven track record managing inventory and supplier relationships within a dynamic distribution environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Serve as the subject matter expert for the circuit breaker category
- Develop and execute purchasing and sourcing strategies to support growth objectives
- Manage relationships with key suppliers and sourcing partners
- Develop inventory forecasts using historical sales data, market trends, and business intelligence
- Establish and manage inventory minimums, maximums, and replenishment parameters
- Support inventory planning efforts for branch growth and expansion initiatives
- Monitor supplier pricing changes and analyze business impact
- Evaluate the effect of cost changes on gross profit and sales pricing
- Lead supplier pricing and contract negotiations
- Evaluate sourcing options to secure competitive costs and reliable supply
- Partner closely with Outside Sales, Branch Operations, and Supply Chain leadership
Job Requirements
5+ years of purchasing, procurement, category management, or supply chain experience- Strong circuit breaker purchasing and sourcing experience
- Demonstrated forecasting and inventory management expertise
- Proven supplier negotiation skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
Essential Job Function
- Experience within electrical distribution or industrial distribution
- Experience managing products with rapidly changing market pricing
- Profit21 and/or Epicor ERP experience
- Exposure to margin analysis, sales pricing, and category profitability management
