Overview

The Centralized Operations Support Specialist is responsible for completing operational data review and processing tasks associated with the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system. This position works independently within a collaborative team and communicates with field and corporate employees to facilitate issue resolution. 

Essential Functions

  • Perform documented processes that may include, but are not limited to, HOPE transmission, EOB reviews, and EMR data entry, review, and updates.
  • Complete assignments in accordance with government and company specified timeframes, accuracy, and volume standards.
  • Communicate with employees and managers to facilitate issue resolution and provide education, as needed
  • Report issues and best practices that impact centralized processing
  • Recommend process and documentation updates
  • Assist in the development and delivery of training materials

About You

Specialized Knowledge/Skills:

  • Understand Hospice regulations and billing requirements for hospice care
    • Federal and State specific regulations/guidelines
  • Able to work with confidential information
  • Demonstrate initiative in researching and resolving issues
  • Well-organized and confident to work independently, but will be a team player
  • Discern areas in need of continued improvement
  • Able to collect and process time-sensitive information from multiple sources
  • Detail- and deadline-oriented with the ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Able to adapt to a fast-paced environment and learn and retain new or evolving information and procedures
  • Able to communicate effectively with other departments

 

Education/Experience:

  • High School diploma required.
  • Three years of Hospice and/or Home Care experience preferred

 

License/Certification:

  • None needed

 

Training/Equipment:

  • Proficient with the general use of computers
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office projects with focus on Excel skills
  • Homecare Homebase experience preferred
  • Consistent access to high-speed Internet
