The EH&S ManagerĀ is responsible forĀ the oversight ofĀ Environmental, Health and Safety program. This includesĀ maintainingĀ regulatory compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations and company policies. Responsibilities will also include creation, implementation, and improvements to existing and necessary employee Environmental, Health and Safety policiesĀ and programs. This position continuously drives excellence in core EH&S management systems and processes andĀ facilitatesĀ integration into business operations for compliance, productivity, and growth.Ā Ā
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:Ā Ā
Develop, implement, and manage all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies, programs, procedures, and activities to ensure a safe, compliant, and healthy work environment for all employees.Ā
Provide direct supervision and daily coordination ofĀ staff, including workload prioritization, performance oversight, coaching, and ensuringĀ timelyĀ completion of assigned responsibilities.Ā
Lead the siteās annual EHS Improvement Plan,Ā monitoringĀ progress, driving accountability, and ensuring alignment with corporate EHS objectives and continuous improvement initiatives.Ā
Ensure consistent EHS presence and representation at key operational meetings to support effective communication, proactive risk identification, andĀ timelyĀ issue resolution.Ā
Establish,Ā maintain, and continuously improve risk assessment, accident prevention, and incident management systems, including oversight of PPE assessments, LOTO verifications, JSAs, incident investigations, and Root Cause Analyses (RCAs).Ā
Maintain centralized records for risk assessments, incident and near-miss reporting, corrective actions, and employee exposure monitoring in compliance with regulatory and corporate requirements.Ā
Oversee incident investigations and corrective actions, ensuring thorough root cause identification, effective preventive measures, HIPAA compliance, andĀ timelyĀ closure to prevent recurrence.Ā
Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations, and serve as the primary site representative during regulatory inspections and interactions (OSHA, EPA, DEP, and other agencies).Ā
Coordinate and standardize EHS procedures, documentation, and best practices across sites and functions, supporting RC14001 certification, Responsible Care, and other applicable industry standards.Ā
Lead or serve as a key advisor to the Safety Committee, providing guidance on projects, investigations, audits, and operational initiatives.Ā
Prepare and analyze EHS performance metrics, trends, and reports for site leadership, Safety Committees, and corporate stakeholders using statistical and analytical tools.Ā
Provide technical guidance and subject matterĀ expertiseĀ to managers, supervisors, and employees to ensure EHS programs are effectively implemented, sustained, and globally applicable.Ā
Take a leadership role in managing complex or sensitive EHS situations, partnering with leaders across all departments to implement practical, risk-based preventive solutions.Ā
Support and close corrective actions resulting from internal, corporate, and external audits, ensuringĀ timelyĀ resolution and sustained compliance.Ā
Coordinate with other facilities and corporate EHS teams toĀ align onĀ standards, share best practices, and drive consistency across the organization.Ā
Support site and corporate certification requirements, including Responsible Care and other applicable EHS management systems.Ā
Perform other duties as assigned.Ā
KNOWLEDGE/ EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:Ā Ā
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Safety,Ā Environmental Science,Ā Occupational Safety and Health, or relatedĀ fieldĀ required.Ā Ā Ā
5+ yearsā experience in Chemical industryĀ and/orĀ 8 + years of experience in the planning, development, and implementation of Environmental, Health and Safety systems and compliance programsĀ preferred.Ā Ā
Certified Safety Professional (CSP) candidate under section 5 preferred.Ā
Process Safety Management (āPSMā) experience preferred.Ā
Must understand and recognize chemicals and risks of chemicals, PPE,Ā andĀ SDS.Ā
Extensive knowledge of environmental regulations and policies.Ā
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Ā
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ā
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Ā
Proficient in technology and equipment used in environmental inspections.Ā
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.Ā
MustĀ be able to investigate root cause analysis and work with team members to develop solutions.Ā
Ability to be an active and certified member of the Emergency Response team.Ā
Wear personal protective equipment as needed.Ā
Pass respirator fit test as required by OSHA.Ā
Must be able to hear/see and respond to all communications and alarms.Ā
MustĀ be able to distinguish colors accurately.Ā
Must be able to work in hot and cold climates.Ā Ā
Lift up toĀ 25lbs.Ā

The salary range for this position is $110k - $165k. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
