Job DetailsJob Location: Jackpot Junction - Morton, MN 56270Position Type: Part-TimeSalary Range: $21.50 - $42.78 HourlyJob Shift: Varies (+Weekends)ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Competently work all stations in the Wabasha Creek kitchen. Open and/or close the kitchen. Maintain the safety and cleanliness of the kitchen area. Maintain portion control in all applicable areas. Take direction from the Wabasha Creek Manager, Supervisor and Lead Cook Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. QualificationsEXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS Experience in line cooking at a full-service restaurant preferred. SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ATTRIBUTES Culinary skills, including frying, sautéing, broiling, basting, baking, poaching and roasting. High level of skill at all cooking stations. Knowledge and utilization of proper sanitation practices. Strong knife skills. Highly organized and time-efficient. Self-motivated. Able to follow and appropriately modify recipes. Able to produce consistent food products. Able to work all stations and shifts as needed. Able to handle working alone. Able to handle working in a fast-paced environment under stressful conditions. UNIVERSAL REQUIREMENTS Sensitivity to various cultures, including Native American cultures. Regular attendance and punctuality. Able and willing to work any changes in scheduled hours as required. Serve as a credit to Jackpot Junction Casino Hotel, and encourage others to do the same. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Mobility throughout the facility. Able to lift up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis. Able to twist, bend and squat frequently. Able to tolerate heat. Able to stand for long periods of time. Good coordination and awareness.
