DD&R Health and Safety Manager

We're looking for a Safety Manager who wants to do more than ensure compliance.

We're seeking a leader who is passionate about people, embraces innovation, and wants to help modernize the safety profession through technology, data-driven decision making, and continuous improvement.

Our work locations include remote functions, onsite support and moderate travel to provide corporate safety management.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

• Build and sustain a proactive, high-performance safety culture across field operations and project teams.
• Serve as a visible safety leader who coaches, mentors, and develops employees at all levels.
• Leverage AI, mobile applications, digital workflows, and safety technologies to improve performance and simplify the employee experience.
• Use data, trends, and leading indicators to identify risk and drive continuous improvement.
• Conduct audits, assessments, field observations, and high-risk activity reviews.
• Review work plans, permits, hazard analyses, and work control packages.
• Lead incident investigations, corrective actions, and organizational learning efforts.
• Partner with operations, project management, engineering, and craft leadership to safely achieve project objectives.
• Help create modern, user-friendly safety systems that reduce administrative burden while increasing engagement and accountability.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive safety experience supporting construction, remediation, D&D, nuclear, industrial, manufacturing, or related operations.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, hazard recognition, incident investigation, and safety management systems.
• Demonstrated ability to influence culture, build relationships, and drive continuous improvement.
• Experience conducting field assessments, audits, inspections, and risk evaluations.
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with digital safety tools, data analytics, safety software, or emerging technologies is desirable.
• Experience supporting HAZWOPER, DOE, remediation, construction, industrial, or nuclear projects is highly desirable.
• Professional certifications such as CSP, CHST, OHST, CIH, CHMM, or similar are a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field is preferred; We value capability, leadership, and real-world experience just as much as formal education.
