Urgent Hiring for Registered Nurse Labor & Delivery (L&D) in Mount Clemens, MI

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Labor & Delivery (L&D) for a 13-week night-shift contract. The ideal candidate will have strong experience caring for patients throughout labor, delivery, postpartum recovery, and nursery care in a Level I setting.

The RN will provide safe, compassionate, evidence-based care while collaborating with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to support positive outcomes for mothers and newborns. 

Pay Rate

Traveler Rate: $71/hour

• $41/hour taxable W-2
  
• $30/hour non-taxable stipend
  

Local Traveler Rate: $63/hour

Candidates residing within a 35-mile radius are considered local travelers.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring, delivery, postpartum, and newborn patients.
  
• Monitor maternal and fetal conditions throughout labor and delivery.
  
• Assist with vaginal and cesarean deliveries as needed.
  
• Provide postpartum assessments, patient education, and recovery care.
  
• Provide appropriate newborn and nursery care.
  
• Recognize changes in maternal or fetal status and respond promptly.
  
• Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols.
  
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
  
• Follow hospital policies, safety standards, and infection-control procedures.
  
• Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, families, and the healthcare team.
  
• Support patient and family education throughout the childbirth process.
  

Required Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery, Delivery, Postpartum, and Nursery experience.
  
• Level I experience required.
  
• Previous travel nursing experience required; new travelers will not be accepted.
  
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills.
  
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts.
  
• Must be available for the full contract and guaranteed schedule.

All certifications must be current and documented:

• BLS – AHA
  
• ACLS – AHA
  
• NRP
  
• STABLE
  
• AWHONN
  

Schedule Requirements

• 12-hour night shifts
  
• 36 hours guaranteed per week
  
• No special schedule requests
  
• Candidate cannot be working another job during the assignment
