Job Title : QA Lead (SDET)  About the Role: We are seeking a QA Lead with a strong SDET background to lead testing for a complex web-based health insurance marketplace. This is a hands-on role (~70%) with team leadership responsibilities (~30%).  You will be responsible for end-to-end quality of client deployment, with a focus on building and scaling automation, improving test infrastructure, and applying AI tools in the SDLC. You will also manage a small team in the US and a small team in India, ensuring consistent execution and delivery.  Key Responsibilities  Own end-to-end QA delivery for a client deployment, including planning, execution, and release readiness   Lead and manage a distributed QA/SDET team (US and India), including task assignment, prioritization, and technical guidance   Define and drive automation-first test strategy, while ensuring effective manual testing where needed   Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks and tools   Write and review automated tests across UI, API, and integration layers   Support and collaborate with client test teams to ensure successful and timely completion of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and other processes leading up to the release  Actively contribute to manual testing for new features, edge cases, and exploratory scenarios   Analyze requirements and workflows to design effective test coverage (manual + automated)   Identify, document, and triage defects with clear reproduction steps and root cause insights   Use AI tools to improve testing, including test generation, defect analysis, and automation acceleration   Integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing and fast feedback   Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, release managers and various internal and external teams across time zones during each release  Track quality metrics, identify risks, and communicate status clearly to stakeholders   Continuously improve test frameworks, tooling, and QA processes   QualificationsRequired Qualifications: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail   Strong experience as an SDET or automation-focused QA engineer   Proven experience in manual testing of web applications   Solid understanding of QA methodologies, processes, and test design techniques   Strong experience with SQL and data validation   Experience managing QA for client-facing or external deployments   Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., JavaScript, Python, Java)   Experience testing APIs and data-driven systems  Experience working with CI/CD pipelines   Experience leading or mentoring engineers, including distributed/offshore teams   Comfortable using AI tools within the SDLC (e.g., AI-assisted test creation, code generation, debugging, or analysis tools)    Preferred Qualifications: Experience with modern automation tools (e.g., Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar)   Familiarity with healthcare or health insurance or Medicaid domains   Experience with performance or load testing   Experience with cloud environments and microservices architectures  Compensation and Benefits: Competitive compensation - All In range of ($140,000-$170,000).
