TX Field Service Tech

Job Details: Job Location: Texas Service and Supply - Muleshoe, TX, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: $22.00 - $32.00Hourly, Job Shift: DAY - 8:00am-5:00pm, PURPOSE:The Field Service Technician is responsible for providing mechanical service and dairy equipment install and repairs for Texas and New Mexico producers.QUALIFICATIONS:Skills & Abilities:  Must be able to work an on-call schedule Excellent organizational and time management skills. Must be comfortable working with and around livestock. Effective problem analysis and problem resolution skills. Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of individuals. PLC and process controllers helpful. Mechanical experience with drives, pumps boilers, air compressors, etc. Electrical experience 120, 240 & 480 volt systems. Must have commercial Freon refrigeration systems experience. Must be able to use technical manual and testing equipment. Must be familiar with dairy product concepts, practices and procedures. Strong knowledge of all aspects of a dairy. Must be able to make decisions impacting products and safety based on independent judgment and discretion. Must provide personal hand tools. Must be able to work with minimal direction and to be self-motivated. Requires ability to read, hear, speak, and comprehend and carry out verbal and written instructions. Shift work required, willingness to work nights, weekends and holidays.Experience:  Minimum of 2 years in dairy maintenance or equivalent experience.  Must have a clean driving record to drive a company vehicleEducation/Certifications:  Must have High School Diploma, or equivalent.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:  Requires ability to sit, walk and stand for prolonged periods of time. Requires ability to stoop, bend, reach, lift and carry items up to 50lbs. Requires ability to climb ladders and stairs of varying heights Requires ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and extreme heat Requires ability to visually observe the condition of surroundings.
