1. Employee Development:
Design and implement employee development programs aligned with organizational goals
Conduct performance reviews and track employee growth with actionable feedback
Identify skill gaps and recommend relevant training programs
Plan and execute training, learning, and coaching initiatives
2. Performance Management:
Manage the performance appraisal process and ensure timely completion
Define KPIs and performance metrics for fair and objective evaluations
Implement performance management systems and drive continuous improvement
3. Policy Development and Implementation:
Develop, review, and update HR policies related to performance, development, and employee welfare
Ensure compliance with labor laws (Factories Act, PF, ESIC, Minimum Wages Act)
Lead and manage social audits (RJC, SMETA, customer compliance)
Act as a point of contact for HR policy-related queries and ensure adherence
4. Employee Welfare and Benefits:
Manage payroll, compensation, and employee benefits (mediclaim, insurance, etc.)
Address employee concerns related to welfare and ensure timely resolution
Ensure competitive compensation practices
5. Employee Engagement and Retention:
Plan and execute employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive work culture
Develop strategies to improve employee satisfaction and retention
Monitor employee morale and implement improvement actions
Handle employee relations, grievances, and conflict resolution
6. Recruitment & Workforce Management:
Manage end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes
Handle workforce planning and ensure smooth onboarding experience
Act as a bridge between management and workforce (including artisan workforce)
Manage industrial relations (IR) and maintain workplace harmony
7. Compliance, Safety and Security:
Ensure adherence to statutory and factory compliance requirements
Implement health and safety protocols in manufacturing units (chemical handling, fire safety)
Oversee background verification (KYC) and internal security SOPs for high-value materials
8. Reporting and HR Operations:
Prepare HR reports on performance, engagement, and development metrics
Track KPIs such as retention, productivity, and employee satisfaction
Provide data-driven insights for HR improvements
Use HRMS tools (Keka, GreytHR) and Excel for reporting and dashboards
9. Key Skills and Requirements:
Strong knowledge of HR operations and statutory compliance
Experience in factory/industrial or jewellery environment preferred
Proficiency in HRMS tools and MS Excel
Strong negotiation, mediation, and communication skills
Understanding of jewellery industry, audits, and artisan workforce
Requirements
- Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in HR (Jewellery Industry Exposure is a plus)
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
- MBA is a plus
- Good knowledge with Excel
- Strong leadership and managerial skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
