PROGRAM OPERATION:
Perform all instructional duties necessary to teach and facilitate student learning in assigned classes.
Provide syllabus appropriate to course(s) being taught to students and follows syllabus content and requirements.
Maintain student attendance and grading records according to College policy as outlined in the Adjunct Handbook.
Submits requested information within established timelines.
STUDENTS:
Is available to students outside scheduled class time to answer questions/provide assistance.
Deal with student concerns and, if necessary, consult with program coordinator to resolve issues.
INSTRUCTION:
Meet all scheduled classes of contracted course(s).
Use technology such as Canvas, PowerPoint, etc. as appropriate.
In event of emergency absence, notifies program/department chair.
Informatics Part-Time Instructor
Informatics (INFM) Program Standard聽
A qualified faculty member in Informatics (INFM) meets the program standard through one of five routes:聽
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽
- Possesses an earned master鈥檚 degree or higher, from a regionally accredited institution, in software development, computer information systems, management information systems, information technology, computer science, or a computer related field as appropriate to the program; or聽
- Possesses an earned related or out-of-field master鈥檚 degree, from a regionally accredited institution, with documented 18 semester hours or equivalent of courses beyond the introductory principle(s) level in software development, computer information systems, management information systems, information technology, computer science, or a computer related field as appropriate to the program; or聽
- Possesses an earned related or out-of-field master鈥檚 degree, from a regionally accredited institution, with documentation in two or more of the following:聽
- Professional certification (national, regional, or state)聽
- Two years of in-field professional employment聽
- Documented evidence of teaching excellence, including date of award聽
- Documentation of research and publication in the field聽
- Documented relevant additional coursework beyond the bachelor鈥檚 degree, equivalent to 18 semester hours or equivalent subject matter coursework, CEU鈥檚, vendor, or military; or聽
- Possesses an earned bachelor鈥檚 degree, from a regionally accredited institution, in information systems, information technology, or related field as appropriate to the program, with documentation in one or more of the following:聽
- Professional certification (national, regional, or state) in the information technology field聽
- Two years of professional employment in the information technology field聽
- Documentation of research and publication in the field聽
- Documented relevant additional coursework beyond the bachelor鈥檚 degree, equivalent to 18 semester hours or equivalent subject matter coursework, CEU鈥檚, vendor, or military; or聽
For INFM 109 - Informatics Fundamentals Only聽
Possesses an earned out-of-field bachelor鈥檚 degree, from a regionally accredited institution, with documentation in two or more of the following:聽

- Four years of professional employment in the information technology field聽

Information Technology Support Part-Time Instructor聽
(Includes teaching courses with the following certifications: CompTIA A+,聽CompTIA Mobility+ certification, CWNP鈥檚 Certified Wireless Network Administration certification, CWNP鈥檚 Certified Wireless Network Professional)

A qualified faculty member in Information Technology Support (ITSP) meets the program standard through one of four routes:聽
