SACC - Associate Teacher

 POSITION SUMMARY: 

Instructs
children in developmentally appropriate activities designed to promote social,
emotional, physical, intellectual, and creative growth in the YMCA of Muncie.  

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  

1. Assists the site director in implementing an
    emergent curriculum and provocations in a before and after school child
    care setting, focusing on children’s needs and interests. 
2. Maintains effective and appropriate
    communication (written, verbal, and non-verbal) with all program
    constituents. 
3. Assists the site director in maintaining all
    required documentation. 
4. Implements and adheres to health and safety
    policies/procedures, and all other quality standards set forth by
    partnering/regulatory agencies. 
5. Upholds all policies, practices, and
    procedures of the YMCA of Muncie. 
6. Partners with families; through engaging them
    in the program and connecting families to each other. 
7. Keep abreast of current knowledge in child
    development and best practices working with children.  
8. Keep all trainings and requirements up to
    date. 
9. All other duties as assigned.
