The role you’ll contribute:Â
Under the immediate supervision of the Assistant Manager and the Director of Laboratory services, the Medical Technologist performs clinical testing in one or more of the following areas of the laboratory: Blood Bank, Microbiology, Serology, Chemistry, Hematology and Urinalysis. A Medical Technologist obtains or receives specimens, performs clinical laboratory tests by standardized procedures, understands method principle, performs quality control, performs preventative maintenance, and interprets results as to accuracy, acceptability and critical limits. The Medical Technologists works independently, organizing work to meet established deadlines, records all data obtained and maintains job competence. The position also involves effective communication and interpersonal skills.

· Assists supervisors and co-workers in the daily operation of all areas of the laboratory.
· Performs quality control testing, preventative maintenance, and calibrations on laboratory equipment and reagents.
· Receives and processes written or electronic requests from physicians for routine or special laboratory tests.
· Performs diagnostic testing and interprets results on donor and hospital specimens, and blood products.
· Develops, documents, implements, and evaluates individualized treatment plans based on test results.
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed: Â
· Associate in a laboratory science (chemical or biological science) or medical laboratory technology
· 5+ Work ExperienceÂ
· Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLSASCP) RequiredÂ
· Medical Laboratory Technician (MLTASCP) RequiredÂ
· Medical Laboratory Technician (MLTAMT) Required
