Description

Summary:  

The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is responsible for direct client care and provides high-quality early intervention services with support directions from Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs). The RBT will be responsible for conducting initial and on-going behavioral assessments and developing treatment plans, while directing one-on-one behavior intervention in language, social, play, and functional living skills with patients.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy to clients in an outpatient clinic setting or home-based setting.  
  • Implements Individualized Treatment Plans (ITPs) under the direction of the behavior analysts/consultants. 
  • Facilitate and assist in the development and identification of resources and support information for patients and their families. 
  • Complete all documentation and supervisory requirements as required by state board for RBT. 
  • Provide detailed daily treatment notes in EMR system to ensure appropriate billing of services provided. 
  • Conduct intake assessments and develop behavior plans based on assessment results. 
  • Make appropriate referrals for additional patient services, as needed. 
  • Proactively communicate and collaborate effectively with fellow Registered Behavior Technicians, BCBAs, families, and additional team members to support the needs of the client. 
  • Participate in therapy meetings as scheduled. 
  • Attend CEU training as needed to maintain professional license requirements. 
  • Comply with federal, state, and local certification requirements. 
  • Other duties as assigned by management. 



Requirements

Education/Licenses:

  • High school diploma or equivalent 
  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) and must maintain an active and current certification as a RBT. 
  • In good standing with the BACB. 

Experience & Skills:   

  • 1 year experience preferred but not required 
  • Sensitive to working with an ethnically, linguistically, culturally, and economically diverse population of children. 
  • An individual who thrives on being part of a team, working alongside other disciplines, as needed  
  • A collaborative spirit and a love for kids and collaboration 

Physical Needs:   

  • Ability to travel to assigned APT locations, as needed  
  • Ability to move freely around the clinical environment for patient treatment 
  • Ability to lift 15 pounds 
  • Ability to sit for a brief to extended period of time 
  • Ability to work on computer for a brief to extended period of time
