The Finance Manager will oversee the financial operations ensuring strong financial controls, accurate reporting, compliance, and effective financial planning. The role will play a critical role in strengthening the organization’s financial governance and strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Management & Reporting
- Oversee timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure adherence to relevant regulatory requirements.
- Maintain strong financial controls, ensuring proper documentation, reconciliations, and audit readiness.
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior leadership, highlighting key insights and variances.
- Budgeting, Forecasting & Planning
- Lead the annual budgeting process for the business operations.
- Develop cash flow forecasts, financial models, and scenario analyses to support business planning.
- Monitor budget adherence, analyze variances, and recommend corrective actions.
- Treasury & Cash Management
- Manage daily cash flow, ensuring adequate liquidity across business units.
- Oversee banking relationships and ensure proper execution of transactions.
- Evaluate and manage working capital requirements.
- Cost Management & Operational Finance
- Support production and operations teams in cost analysis, cost-saving initiatives, and profitability optimization.
- Implement and monitor cost control measures across manufacturing and construction projects.
- Taxation & Compliance
- Coordinate all tax matters including VAT, PAYE, corporate tax, and withholding taxes.
- Ensure compliance with TRA regulations and liaise with tax consultants where necessary.
- Lead preparation and coordination of internal and external audits.
- Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Supervise and mentor finance officers and accountants across business units.
- Collaborate closely with operational heads across Manufacturing, Construction, Real Estate, and Hospitality.
- Provide financial insights to support strategic investments and new business opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA/ACCA qualification (mandatory).
- Minimum 5 - 7 years of progressive financial management experience.
- Experience in a diversified group, manufacturing, construction, or similar multi-sector environment is an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of regulations, and financial reporting standards.
- Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- High proficiency in Excel and familiarity with modern accounting/ERP systems.
