Restaurant & Bar Duty Manager

A restaurant attached to a hotel in Kaikōura is looking for an experienced Restaurant & Bar Manager to join their team ahead of the busy summer season.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who is confident managing a restaurant and bar, leading a team, and providing excellent service to international guests.

Requirements

Manage the day-to-day operation of the restaurant and bar
Lead, support and give clear direction to the team
Maintain high standards of customer service, cleanliness and hygiene
Handle customer enquiries and complaints professionally
Oversee responsible service and handling of alcohol
Help ensure the restaurant and bar operate smoothly during busy periods
Ideally 3+ years' experience in a senior restaurant, bar or hospitality management role
Good spoken English and confident communication skills
Comfortable leading a team and giving clear instructions
Confident dealing with customers and resolving complaints
Experience working with alcohol and managing a bar
Mature, reliable and able to work independently
Comfortable living and working in a smaller, more isolated location such as Kaikōura
