Operator - Production

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled SMT/PTH Operator with experience in PCB assembly and electronics manufacturing. The candidate should have hands-on expertise in operating, setting up, and maintaining SMT and PTH machines while ensuring adherence to quality, productivity, and ESD standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor SMT (Surface Mount Technology) and PTH (Plated Through Hole) machines for PCB assembly operations.
  
• Perform machine setup activities, including loading feeders, components, and production programs as per manufacturing requirements.
  
• Ensure proper placement, soldering quality, and defect-free PCB assemblies through regular inspections.
  
• Monitor and support reflow soldering and wave soldering processes to achieve quality standards.
  
• Conduct routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting of SMT and PTH equipment to minimize downtime.
  
• Read and interpret work instructions, BOMs (Bill of Materials), process sheets, and PCB assembly drawings.
  
• Follow ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) handling procedures for electronic components and assemblies.
  
• Maintain production records, machine logs, quality reports, and process documentation accurately.
  
• Coordinate with Quality, Production, and Engineering teams to resolve defects and improve process efficiency.
  
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and manufacturing standards.
  

Desired Candidate Profile

• Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, ECE, or related field.
  
• 3 to 4 years of experience in SMT/PTH operations within an Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) environment.
  
• Hands-on experience with SMT machines, feeders, stencil printing, reflow ovens, and PTH processes.
  
• Knowledge of PCB assembly, soldering standards, and defect analysis.
  
• Familiarity with ESD controls and quality systems.
  
• Good problem-solving, troubleshooting, and teamwork skills.
