ROLE SUMMARY:
The HR Business Partner shall provide astrategic and operational human resource support to a leading smart card manufacturer and a trusted provider ofsecure identity and payment solutions. The HRBD shall align people strategies withorganisational objectives, Â employee engagement,compliance, talent management, and workforce effectiveness.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic & Operational HR
·        Partner with business leaders onpeople strategy implementation.
·        Lead workforce planning and organisationaldevelopment initiatives.
·        Support recruitment, selection, andon boarding activities.
·        Lead succession planning and talentmanagement initiatives.
·        Coordinate learning and developmentprogrammes.
·        Support organisational changeinitiatives.
Performance Management (Emphasis Area)
·        Drive performance management andemployee development programmes –including goal setting, mid-year reviews, annual appraisals, and PerformanceImprovement Plans (PIPs).
·        Partner with line managers toidentify performance gaps early, coach through difficult conversations, andensure objective, documented evaluations.
·        Use HR metrics to recommend training,promotion, or corrective actions.
Employee Relations (Emphasis Area)
·        Advise management on employeerelations matters – including grievances,disciplinary hearings, appeals, conflict resolution, and terminations.
·        Conduct thorough and impartialinvestigations into misconduct or policy violations, producing legally soundreports.
·        Ensure all ER actions comply with theKenyan Employment Act, 2007, and IHRM codes of conduct.

Policy Development (Added Responsibility)
·        Develop, review, and implement HRpolicies and procedures in line with Kenyan labourlaws, industry best practices, and organisational culture.
·        Ensure all policies are clearlycommunicated, consistently applied, and regularly updated to address emergingbusiness and regulatory needs.
Compliance & Administration
·        Monitor HR compliance with labourlegislation and company policies.
·        Oversee administration operations andfacilities coordination.
·        Supervise vendor relationshipsrelating to administration services.
·        Promote employee engagement andorganisational culture initiatives.
·        Ensure confidentiality of employeeinformation and HR records.
·        Analyse HR metrics and preparemanagement reports.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Education:
·        Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in HumanResource Management or a relevant discipline.

Professional & Licensing Qualifications:
·        IHRM - Mandatory requirement (Fullmember in good standing).
·         CHRP - K - Desired requirement
Â
Experience:
·        At least 3 years of relevant HRexperience in a manufacturing or technology, with a strong track recordin performance management, employee relations, and policy development.

Skills & Competencies:
·        Strong attention to detail.
·        Good communication skills (writtenand verbal).
·        Computer literacy (HRIS, MS Office).
·        Sound knowledge of Kenyan labourlaws.
