Front Desk Patient Coordinator – Dental Office

We are looking for a friendly, organized, and patient-focused Front Desk Patient Coordinator to join our dental team in Nashville, TN. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in creating a welcoming experience for every patient.
As a Patient Coordinator, you will play an important role in keeping the front office running smoothly while helping patients navigate scheduling, insurance, treatment, and their overall experience with our practice.
What You’ll Do
Greet patients and create a warm, welcoming experience from check-in through check-out
Answer incoming calls, respond to patient questions, and route calls appropriately
Schedule and confirm patient appointments while maintaining an efficient provider schedule
Assist with new patient registration, paperwork, and updating patient information
Verify dental insurance benefits and eligibility
Review treatment plans, insurance estimates, and patient financial responsibilities
Collect patient payments, copays, and outstanding balances
Help patients understand their appointments and next steps in treatment
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
Monitor schedules and help fill openings or last-minute cancellations
Communicate with the clinical team to maintain smooth patient flow throughout the day
Follow up with patients regarding unscheduled treatment and continuing care
Provide excellent customer service and professionally address patient questions or concerns
Work collaboratively with the entire dental team to meet office goals and provide an exceptional patient experience
What We’re Looking For
Previous dental front office experience preferred
Experience with dental insurance, scheduling, or treatment coordination is a plus
Friendly, professional, and confident communication skills
Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
Organized and able to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment
Dependable, team-oriented, and willing to help wherever needed
Comfortable discussing financial responsibilities with patients
Motivated by goals and contributing to the overall success of the practice
