Job DetailsJob Location: Coburn's of Nashville (74) - Nashville, TN 37206 Summary The Counter Sales position is responsible for increasing sales and profit by efficiently and courteously assisting walk-in, will call and telephone customers with selecting and purchasing products, while assisting the outside sales team with meeting their customer’s expectations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Focus Area: Performance Measure: Customer Service Customer loyalty is maintained by providing Coburn’s exceptional level of customer service as measured by increased sales and profits, number of transactions, customer feedback and/or satisfaction ratings. Focus Area: Performance Measure: Inventory Control Customer is properly and efficiently assisted in the order process and profit is increased as a result of properly maintained inventory and proactively communicated inventory needs. Focus Area: Performance Measure: Knowledge Development Knowledge is developed and maintained in order to increase credibility with customers as measured by increased customer loyalty and sales.   Qualifications Education & Experience High School Diploma or Equivalent AND 1 year of the following experience is preferred: Customer Service Experience Sales Experience Applicable Relative Industry Experience Progressive Industry Experience Must possess basic computer and math skills. Must pass company-required drug screen and physical.   Physical Requirements Must be able to lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs.; must have physical mobility and dexterity to frequently stand, bend, push, twist, kneel, climb, squat, stoop, and reach overhead. Routinely drives/operates forklifts; works with tools, and equipment. Considerable mental/visual concentration, coordinating manual dexterity with mental/visual attention. Construction and Warehouse environment with variable but moderately high noise levels. Must wear closed-toe shoes, gloves, and other protective items as required. A consistent presence at work is required. In order to operate a forklift, the operator must be a minimum age of 18 years old and successfully complete Coburn’s Forklift Operator Certification.
