SUMMARY FUNCTION:  Assists in managing daily activities of tissue and clinical needs for inventory supplies for all TDS locations. Collaborates with Manager to maintain vendor relations, assess supply needs, and coordinates delivery schedules to maintain operational needs. Schedules and monitors regular Environmental Monitoring (EM) for Tissue Recovery Rooms. Monitors and manages temperature control of facilities and ensures all guidelines are adhered to. Ensures equipment preventative maintenance, equipment calibrations, and scheduled facility cleanings are performed timely.  Maintains cleanliness of facility and ensures FEFO/FIFO is adhered to.  Hires, trains, supervises, and evaluates staff.  Travel is required.  

              

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  1. Ensures and promotes compliance with quality control measures dictated by federal, state, and local regulations.  Ensures operational activities are conducted within constraints established by approved policy and procedure.  Supervises day-to-day operations of inventory supplies. 

 

  1. Primary oversight of ordering of supplies for tissue and clinical departments.  
     
     
  2. Ensures compliance with all company, AATB, CMS, FDA, and other regulatory standards. 

 

  1. Schedules EMs of Tissue Recovery Rooms.  Schedules preventative maintenance, and calibration of equipment.  Oversees temperature monitoring of facilities. 

 

  1. Coordinates and acts as a point of contact with vendors such as, scrub services and biohazard waste management.

 

  1. Problem solves logistical challeneges with shipping or couriers.

 

  1. Supervises and supports Facility Operations Coordinators and Tissue Recovery Assistants.  Responsible for training staff and maintenance of training files.  

 

 

PHYSICAL TRAITS:  Observes, reads, talks and listens.  Sits, stands, walks, and drives.  Carries items up to 100 lbs.  Reads and writes plans, reports, records, etc.  Drives to all office locations.
 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Education Required:

Bachelor of Science degree in related field of 4 years of related experience. 

                                               

Experience:

4 years of related field.   

 

Licenses/

Certifications:  

Valid Driver’s License with ability to pass MVR underwriting requirements.

 

Computer Skills:

Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office applications to include Word, PowerPoint and Excel is required.
