Job DetailsJob Location: Midtown - MPOWER - Nashville, TN 37203Position Type: Full TimeJob Shift: DayJob Category: Health CareMPOWER Physical Therapy is looking for an Occupational Therapy Tech that will assist therapists in providing professional orthopedic therapy care for clinic patients; perform clinical tasks related to patient care including application of modalities and following exercise programs with patients; Therapy Technicians will contribute to maintenance of a neat and orderly clinic through daily organization and cleaning.   Why Join MPOWER? This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys making things better, developing people, and being an integral part of a growing organization.   MINIMUM ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS Assist patients and provide appropriate cueing while performing their exercise programs as developed and directed by licensed occupational therapist Administer appropriate modalities under the direction and supervision of a licensed occupational therapist Assist occupational therapist with cancellation rate management and maintain a goal of less than 10% cancellation rate Constant communication with occupational therapist including but not limited to patient progress, patient concerns and quality of care Assist therapist with management of daily schedule through scheduling and patient reminder calls Assist with patient scheduling by confirming that patients have schedule future appointments before departure from clinic Clean and organize throughout the day to help maintain a neat and orderly clinic Assist in directing, transferring, and transporting patients to the appropriate care area to help maintain an orderly clinic flow Identify and communicate equipment inventory and maintenance issues with supervisor to ensure facility needs are met Maintain patient confidentiality; comply with HIPAA and compliance guidelines established by the practice Maintain knowledge of computer software related to job functions KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s degree in an exercise or health-related field is preferred Though no formal experience is required, interest and intention to pursue field in the field of physical therapy is preferred Ability to manage multiple tasks Basic knowledge in exercise physiology, biomechanics and exercise techniques Knowledge of basic anatomy Successful completion of the technician training manual and exam after training Comfortable effectively using MS Office programs including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook Ability to work with Practice Management software as required after training Uphold and reflect company Core Values and promote the Mission and Vision Excellent communication skills and the ability to perform patient education duties Neat and professional appearance Able to maintain company legal and professional confidentiality requirements across employees, patients, and clients We are an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, gender identity, marital or veteran status, or any other protected class.
