How you'll make an impact in this role

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate educational activities planning for an assigned service or population. Collaborate with nurse managers and staff to assess learning needs and competencies.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate educational plans/programs and utilizes methods, measurements and tools to evaluate achievement of learning goals.
• Identify and/or develop teaching tools and instructional materials. Keep records of educational activities and prepares reports.
• Develop, implement and evaluate educational plans/programs and utilizes methods, measurements and tools to evaluate achievement of learning goals. Utilizes principles of adult education throughout all learning activities.
• May serve as an educator for unit-based, hospital-wide and/or community education programs. All other duties as assigned.

What minimum qualifications you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing or current home statelicense for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or jobtransfer date required.
• BLS Provider. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted preferred.
• Educator specializing in Childbirth preferred.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time ofhire.
