Orthodontic Dental Assistant

Nashville, TN | Full-Time

We’re looking for an energetic, dependable, and patient-focused Orthodontic Dental Assistant to join our team in Nashville, TN. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, building relationships with patients, and being part of a collaborative dental team.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist the orthodontist during patient appointments and procedures
  • Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials
  • Assist with orthodontic adjustments, bonding, debonding, and other procedures within your permitted scope
  • Take X-rays, photographs, impressions, and digital scans as appropriate
  • Educate patients and families on treatment, oral hygiene, appliances, and post-treatment care
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
  • Follow proper sterilization and infection-control procedures
  • Keep treatment areas stocked, organized, and ready for patients
  • Help maintain an efficient patient flow throughout the day
  • Work closely with the orthodontist and team to provide an exceptional patient experience

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous orthodontic or dental assisting experience preferred
  • Strong patient care and communication skills
  • Organized, dependable, and detail-oriented
  • Comfortable working in a busy, team-focused environment
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to connect with both children and adults
  • Required dental assisting credentials and certifications based on Tennessee regulations and assigned duties
