What this role is all about
Smooth hotel operations depend on having the right products, supplies, and inventory in the right place at the right time. As a Purchasing/Receiving Clerk, youāll support purchasing, receiving, and inventory operations while helping ensure hotel departments remain organized, stocked, and operationally ready every day.
This role is perfect for someone whoās detail-oriented, organized, and enjoys hands-on operational work in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Youāll help manage deliveries, inventory tracking, invoice processing, stock organization, and purchasing support across multiple hotel departments.

What youāll be doing
What youāll be doingĀ
Receive, inspect, verify, and organize deliveries, inventory, supplies, food & beverage products, linens, and operational materials according to hotel procedures.Ā
Review purchase orders, invoices, packing slips, and receiving documentation for accuracy and compliance with company standards.Ā
Maintain organized storerooms, storage areas, inventory records, and operational supply spaces throughout the property.Ā
Distribute products and supplies to hotel departments including Culinary, Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, Engineering, Banquets, and Operations teams.Ā
Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages, damaged items, discrepancies, or replenishment needs promptly to leadership teams.Ā
Support purchasing operations through data entry, inventory tracking, invoice processing, reporting, and procurement coordination activities.Ā
Assist with inventory counts, stock rotation, product labeling, and storage organization to support operational efficiency and compliance standards.Ā
Maintain accurate operational records, receiving logs, inventory documentation, and purchasing files.Ā
Follow food safety standards, sanitation procedures, OSHA regulations, inventory controls, and hotel operational policies at all times.Ā
Coordinate closely with Purchasing, Finance, Culinary, Housekeeping, and operational leadership teams to support smooth hotel operations.Ā
Help foster a collaborative, organized, and operationally focused culture aligned with Sonestaās People People philosophy.Ā

What great looks likeĀ
Previous purchasing, receiving, inventory, warehouse, hospitality, hotel operations, food & beverage, or administrative experience preferred.Ā
Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and inventory accuracy.Ā
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced hospitality environment.Ā
Basic knowledge of purchasing processes, inventory management, receiving procedures, and operational documentation preferred.Ā
Experience using Excel, procurement systems, inventory software, PMS platforms, or operational reporting tools preferred.Ā
Strong communication, teamwork, and time management skills.Ā
Positive attitude with a dependable, service-focused, and team-oriented mindset.Ā
Knowledge of food safety standards, stock rotation practices, and operational compliance procedures preferred.Ā
Flexible availability including mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and operational support as needed.Ā
