General Summary of Duties:
Â
Food Runners will assist Servers with expo and food running to guest tables while providing warm and energetic service.
Examples of Duties (includes but is not limited to the following):Â
- Knowledge of all menu items, restaurant, and general hotel information
- Respond to guest requests and concerns in a timely, warm, and energetic manner
- Ensure service area is clean and organized
- Maintain tables and buffet during guest dining and ensure swift reset upon guest departure
- Deliver food to guest tables
- Read kitchen tickets and match them to dishes completed by the kitchen staff
- Assist with set-up and break down of breakfast buffet
- Perform side work during downtime; such as rolling silverware, restocking condiments, and sweeping floor
- Ensure general cleanliness of work area in accordance with all health and safety standards
- Perform additional duties and projects as assigned
Position Requirements:
- Ability to speak, read, write and understand English
- Professional demeanor appropriate for a luxury environment
- Knowledge of upscale food and beverage
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Typical Physical / Mental Demands:
- Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time
- Must be able to bend, stoop, crouch
- Must use hands to reach, grasp, handle, pull and push
- Must have good near and far vision
- Must be able to hear, talk, smell
