If you answered yes, then you may be Mercy’s next Residential Assistant! Education: Some college preferred; must have a high school diploma or pass a general education development test (GED). Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in ministry, mentoring, or teaching required Skills: Good communication, works well under pressure, ability to multi-task, ability to set boundaries. Must have a thorough understanding of, and dedication to, the vision of Mercy Multiplied, along with demonstrated Christian work ethics. Eligibility: Must be at least 21 years of age or older. Must be available to work a minimum of 2-3 shifts per month. In the Residential Assistant, Relief position, you will be responsible for but not limited to the following: Answer the telephone and direct calls to the proper extension/voice mail, answer questions, etc. Minister to residents by being a listening ear and praying with them Check night and morning work details, and fill out work detail check list. Hold residents accountable to follow program expectations and confront areas of concern or need. Document contacts/disciplines/training opportunities to ETO and daily reports. Must be responsible for safe transportation of residents when needed Other duties as deemed necessary. Schedule: Hours are as needed, must have availability to work weekend shifts. Potential shifts: Weekend Hours: Friday-Monday, 4:30 PM to 8:30 AM Night Hours: Monday-Thursday, 4:30 PM to 8:30 AM *Staff is compensated for sleep time.
