We are looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Storeman to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The successful candidate will be responsible for controlling stock movements, receiving and dispatching goods, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring the efficient operation of the stores and warehouse environment.

Responsibilities:

Receiving, inspecting and processing incoming stock and materials.
Offloading supplier deliveries and allocating stock to designated storage locations.
Picking, packing and preparing orders for dispatch in accordance with company procedures.
Ensuring stock is stored correctly and maintained according to FIFO principles.
Conducting stock counts, cycle counts and assisting with annual stock takes.
Monitoring inventory levels and reporting stock shortages or discrepancies.
Processing goods received, issued, transferred and returned documentation.
Loading and unloading vehicles while ensuring the safe handling of products.
Coordinating deliveries, collections and courier dispatches.
Verifying the accuracy of orders before dispatch and upon receipt.
Maintaining accurate stock records and warehouse documentation.
Ensuring a clean, organised and safe stores environment at all times.
Assisting with general warehouse and administrative duties as required.
Supporting continuous improvements to stores and inventory control processes.

Requirements

Grade 12 / Matric.
Previous experience in a stores, warehouse or inventory control environment.
Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Understanding of stock control and inventory management principles.
Valid Code 8 driver's licence.
