Engineering Trainee

• As an Engineering Trainee, you will learn the necessary tools and technologies to collaborate and build solutions with other members of the team and write code in compliance with the established coding quality standards of the company.
  
• You will be expected to have the ability to pay attention to detail, understand and analyze project requirements, observe existing strategies and techniques and offer suggestions for improvement
  
• You will learn and be required to document all the components of your development cycle to help other developers and partners to leverage your work.
  
• You will help build machine learning-based solutions to problems of societal importance. You will participate in problem definitions and the design and development of solutions to these problems.
  
• At Wadhwani AI, excellence as an individual contributor goes hand-in-hand with good teamwork and collaboration.
  
• You will work in cross-functional teams spanning research, engineering, product and program management, and designers. You will also be expected to interact with external partners of Wadhwani AI when required, and to make periodic visits to the communities from where challenges are derived and where the solutions will be deployed.
  

Requirements

• Candidates should be passionate about technology and software development and should have an eagerness to learn new tech stacks as well as the current state of the art tools and technologies.
  
• Candidate should have strong foundations in data structures, algorithms and computer systems and good understanding of the software development and deployment lifecycle including code versioning
  
• Candidates should be comfortable working with cross-functional teams, and must have excellent communication skills.
  
• Candidates should have a Bachelors/Masters in Computer Science, Physics, and Engineering Discipline or equivalent industry experience.
  
• Experience with different IDEs & development tools along with git is a must.
  
• Experience with architecting and deploying mobile and cloud-based solutions is good to have.
  
• Experience with open-source projects and high-performance systems is a plus.
