聽聽The Dentist is responsible for providing compassionate, high-quality dental care to our patients.聽Provide leadership and direction to Dental Hygienists and support team members in all areas of DCSNO patient treatment.聽
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES聽
路 Diagnose dental conditions and plan oral health care in consultation with patients and parents聽聽
路 Ensure treatment plan is reviewed with each patient / parent and informed consent is granted for treatments rendered聽聽
路 Provide great customer service by offering same day care when possible and ensuring parent / patient satisfaction聽聽
路 Educate patients and parents about improving and maintaining oral health care聽聽
路 Obtain diagnostic pre-operative radiographs for every procedure聽聽
路 Local Anesthesia must be limited appropriately聽聽
路 Effectively and safely administer behavior management techniques to enable delivery of dental care especially for uncooperative children聽聽
路 Develop treatment plans for patients consistent with the American Dental Association Guidelines聽
路 Adhere to all federal and government regulations, including the state dental board rules and regulations, HIPPA and OSHA regulations聽聽
路 Conduct behavior in a manner that is professional and courteous to all patients, parents, and office staff at all times聽
路 Consistently portray a positive working attitude that fosters a pleasant work environment聽聽
路 Maintain a consistent schedule in response to patient need聽
PHYSICAL DEMANDS聽聽
Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time; ability to lift/carry up to 30 pounds and be able to twist, turn, bend and stoop.聽

WORKING CONDITIONS聽
Majority of work performed in a clinical environment. Requires availability for extended hours during peak patient periods. Hours may change to meet the business needs.聽
REQUIREMENTS聽
路 DDS/DMD from a dental education program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation.聽
路 Two (2) years practice experience and/or completion of a residency from an accredited postgraduate program.聽聽
路 A current, valid license to practice dentistry in the state of Louisiana and providing patient care (License must be in good standing)聽聽
路 Malpractice insurance (in place before start date)聽聽
路 CPR/BLS Certification (current before start date)聽聽
路 NPI provider number (in place before start date)聽聽
路 DEA number (application submitted before start date)聽聽
路 CDS (in states where applicable)聽
路 Experience with electronic dental record聽
