Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Opto-Mechanical Assembly Technician to join our team. This role involves working in an ISO 6 cleanroom environment, fully suited, assembling precision opto-mechanical and electro-optical products. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, problem-solving ability, and flexibility to support multiple assembly departments as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Assemble opto-mechanical and electro-optical components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
Accurately read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
Troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues, including mechanical misalignments and fitting problems.
Repair mechanical defects such as broken screws, misfitting parts, and similar issues.
Operate and maintain optical and measurement equipment for alignment and verification.
Collaborate effectively within a team of 6 members to meet production goals.
Ensure compliance with ISO 6 cleanroom protocols and maintain a high standard of cleanliness.
Demonstrate flexibility by supporting other assembly departments when required.
Adapt to changing priorities and maintain a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Qualifications:

Experience in opto-mechanical or electro-optical assembly.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
Familiarity with optical systems and precision measurement tools.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Ability to work in a cleanroom environment (ISO 6) with full gowning requirements.
Willingness to cross-train and assist in other assembly areas as needed.
Ability to safely handle and lift products up to 32 lbs.

Preferred Education & Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in optics, mechanics, or electronics is a plus.
2+ years of experience in precision assembly or related field.
