Job DetailsJob Location: New Rochelle - New Rochelle, NY 10801Position Type: Part TimeEducation Level: Masters DegreeSalary Range: $1,273.00 - $1,273.00 CommissionThe Mathematics and Physics Department of Iona University invites applicants for adjunct positions in Physics for Summer 2026.  The successful candidate will teach courses in PHY 101 and/or PHY 102 that each meet twice/week for 5 weeks, with both lecture and lab components. The courses meet in person on Iona’s New Rochelle campus.  As the successful candidate will be teaching both the lab and lecture sections, these are 5 credit courses and the compensation for teaching will be roughly $6300 per course.  The instructor would be provided with the course textbook and a sample syllabus, and there is a lab technician who would help prepare the labs each day. The details of the course timing are:  PHY 101 - General Physics I  Lecture: Tues/Thurs 9:00 am - 1:00 pm, 06/01/2026 - 07/07/2026 Lab: Tues/Thurs 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm, 06/01/2026 - 07/07/2026   PHY 102 - General Physics 2  Lecture: Tues/Thurs 9:00 am - 1:00 pm, 07/08/2026 - 08/12/2026 Lab: Tues/Thurs 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm, 07/08/2026 - 08/12/2026 Please only apply if you are available in-person for all class meeting days/times listed above.  If interested, please apply here and send a copy of your CV and a cover letter to bgaines@iona.edu.
