Location: New Windsor, NY

Hours: Mon-Fri 8am-4:30pm

Rate: $18.04/hr

OVERVIEW OF PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES:

This position is responsible for the cleaning of a multi-purpose office building.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:

• Floor Care (Knowledge of buffer machines and Floor Scrubbers helpful).
• Responsible for keeping the restrooms cleaned, sanitized, and stocked
• Trash and recyclables

• Carpet Cleaning (Use of carpet extractor)
• Clean all windows
• Light Painting/repairs
• Vacuuming/dusting
• Keep walkways free of snow, ice and debris
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Communicate effectively, openly and honestly, with staff and leaders on a consistent basis

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONAL / ORGANIZATIONAL SUPPORT:

This position will assist with any office moves or special cleaning projects as directed by supervisor. May assist in the set up for events that occur onsite. 

QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES:

• Great attention to details
• Multi-tasker
• Able to quickly asses and react to situation requiring a custodial remedy.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Previous experience in the janitorial field preferably in an office/industrial setting
• Reliable transportation with a valid driver’s license

• Must be capable to stand for longs periods of time
• Must be able to lift a mop bucket, full of water over obstacles
• Must be capable to move throughout work day. Must be able to climb stairs
