About the Opportunity: Chelsea Piers Field House Brooklyn seeks an enthusiastic and energetic Arts & Crafts Instructor who has experience with developing and delivering arts and crafts activities that are safe, fun, and appropriate to children's age and abilities. Responsibilities: Design and deliver an arts and crafts curriculum and lesson plans for Summer Camp for preschool and school age children Maintain all arts and crafts equipment and ensure work areas are clean and organized before, during, and after sessions Oversee campers during their activities and ensure campers are arriving and departing on time from different camp activities Effectively manage the classroom and address camper behavior in a positive and professional manner Communicate clearly and positively with campers, co-workers, and supervisors These responsibilities are not comprehensive and are subject to change at the discretion of the supervisor QualificationsQualifications: Prior experience as an art instructor/teacher and developing lesson plans Ability to communicate, supervise, and work with groups of children of all age and skill levels and provide necessary instruction Demonstrated creative ability in a variety of art techniques Capacity to supervise group work Must be punctual and dependable Ability to be on your feet for multiple hours at a time and lift items up to 40 pounds
