Job Description:
Typically acts as the secondary coverage for clients. Extensive product knowledge. Interacts with clients to execute complex product transactions that generate significant revenue. Works under direction of more senior associates.

The Alternative Investment Technical Specialist associate will provide support to Alternative Investment Specialists as well as Financial Advisors on suite of hedge fund products in order to drive utilization of those products. The associate will assist in the coordination of all custom alternative investments proposals, as well as internal collateral, related to hedge fund investing.

Responsibilities:

  • Delivers customized, client-approved portfolio analyses in defined timeframe with high degree of detail and specificity.
  • Maintains and updates ongoing pipeline of sales opportunities across strategies, and track sales related to those opportunities.
  • Manages ongoing collateral to report on performance and updates to hedge fund strategies and platform.
  • Partners with AI Technical Specialists on aspects of portfolio construction, manager selection, product design, and fund terms.
  • Participates in meetings with third-party hedge fund management firms to build knowledge base around investment concepts and strategies.

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in financial services
  • Series 7 and 66 licenses, or the ability to obtain both within 120 days of hire
  • Working knowledge of alternative investments
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Pay and benefits information

Pay range$97,500.00 - $134,700.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Discretionary incentive eligible

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan.
