Overview
The Associate Medical Director plays a critical role in ensuring scientific accuracy, clinical relevance, and regulatory readiness across immunology and dermatology brands.

This role works closely with Medical Directors in addition to creative, strategy, and account teams to review, refine, and strengthen materials before regulatory review.If you are detail-oriented, scientifically rigorous, and energized by translating complex data into clear communication, this is where you can thrive.
Responsibilities
Support Brand-Level Medical Strategy
- Support medical strategy for assigned brand(s) within a client portfolio
- Analyze clinical data and competitive information to inform positioning and messaging
- Ensure materials reflect accurate treatment dynamics and scientific context
Lead Scientific Review for Regulatory Submissions
- Serve as a primary reviewer of promotional and non-promotional materials
- Review copy, layouts, concepts, and client-facing deliverables for scientific accuracy and clinical relevance
- Prepare materials for regulatory review, including detailed reference annotation and reference validation
- Maintain claim substantiation documents and reference libraries
- Incorporate regulatory feedback accurately and efficiently
Collaborate Cross-Functionally
- Partner with copywriters to refine claims and strengthen scientific clarity
- Work closely with strategy partners and creative teams to ensure ideas are grounded in evidence
- Contribute scientific input to briefs and early concept development
Maintain Scientific Excellence
- Stay current on emerging data, competitive shifts, clinical guidelines, treatment landscape changes, and relevant healthcare trends
- Use emerging tools and technologies to support literature review, research synthesis, and competitive monitoring
- Critically evaluate AI-supported outputs for scientific accuracy and reliability
Support Team and Growth Initiatives
- Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and training initiatives
- Support new business efforts through research and scientific inputs as needed
- Demonstrate accountability, curiosity, and a strong attention to detail in all workstreams

Qualifications
- Advanced degree in a healthcare or scientific field required (PharmD, PhD, Master’s, or equivalent)
- 3-5+ years of experience in scientific communications, healthcare marketing, medical affairs, or related industry roles preferred
- Experience conducting literature searches and critically evaluating and synthesizing scientific evidence
- Experience reviewing materials for scientific accuracy and regulatory readiness
- Strong understanding of clinical data interpretation and treatment pathways
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Enthusiasm for collaboration and partnership within a team environment

Compensation Range: USD $81,225.00 - USD $116,655.00/Annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
