Behavioral Coach Day Treatment

Description

We are seeking an energetic and compassionate Behavioral Coach for our Bronx Day Treatment program. In this role, you will be responsible for modeling and supporting elementary and middle school students, ages 5-16, with developing their coping and social skills, and emotional regulation. 

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct classroom observations to proactively prevent student outbursts and help de-escalate crisis situations. 
• Collaborate with the treatment team and educational personnel to develop support plans for students. 
• Required to pass and maintain certification in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention. 
• Must be physically able to initiate and/or assist in all components of the crisis intervention program. 
• Provides occasional coverage in other Astor programs.

Requirements

You must have:

· High School Diploma with a minimum of 2 years experience working with children or adolescents or Bachelor's Degree in the Human Service or Education Field with a minimum of 1 year experience working with children and adolescents.

· Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule. 

You should have:

· Bilingual (English/Spanish).
