Job Summary
Summary:Â Provides administrative support for daily Credentialing Department operations, focused on efficient provider onboarding.Â
Responsibilities
Essential Functions:Â
Â
- Comply with Credentialing Policies and Procedures, departmental guidelines, and company standardsÂ
- Support onboarding processes for medical and ancillary providers across multiple states, ensuring timely completion of required tasksÂ
- Conduct outreach to providers to obtain required information, schedule onboarding-related calls, and respond to questionsÂ
- Guide providers through online credentialing application completion; review for accuracy and completeness and follow up to resolve missing informationÂ
- Scan, upload, and maintain provider documentation within the credentialing systemÂ
- Coordinate provider onboarding access and account setup, including facilitating surrogate/delegate access for systems such as NPPES, PECOS, CAQH, and NYS Provider Secure Portal (PSP)Â
- Facilitate completion of credentialing-related applications (e.g., DEA, NPI) and associated applicationsÂ
- Document onboarding activities, communications, and updates within the credentialing systemÂ
- Prepare weekly onboarding and credentialing status reportsÂ
- Collaborate with HR, Recruitment, Operational Leaders, and other departments to support timely onboarding completionÂ
- Maintain credentialing files for active providersÂ
- Complete additional duties and special projects as assignedÂ
- Provide coverage and support to other Credentialing team members as neededÂ

Qualifications
Â
Education/ Work Experience:Â
 Â
- High School Diploma RequiredÂ
Experience:Â
- Minimum of at least six months in a healthcare setting: providing clerical support or medical credentialing assistance. Preferably 1-2 years of relevant office / credentialing experience. Â
- Notary Public certification preferredÂ

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Characteristics:Â Â

- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage competing demands, adapt to shifting priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentÂ
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with providers, leadership, and cross-functional teamsÂ
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and sound judgmentÂ
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)Â
- Experience with database management, including tracking, reporting, and document managementÂ

Position Type and Expected Hours to Work:Â Full-Time Position (In-Person)
Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. – 40 hours work weekÂ
