We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Director, Group Delivery Group Lead to join our Data Solutions Services team. This role is located in New York City.

The Director, Group Delivery Group Lead is an experienced delivery professional responsible for orchestrating end‑to‑end delivery across a portfolio of complex products and services. The role provides strategic direction, governance and oversight of multi‑platform roadmaps, delivery plans and execution, ensuring that outcomes are delivered on time, within scope, within budget and aligned to clearly defined business objectives. The position partners closely with product, engineering, operations and control functions to drive resilient, scalable and client‑centric platforms and services that support BNY’s strategic pillars by enabling growth, operational excellence, effective risk management and differentiated client experiences.

The Director, Group Delivery Group Lead role demonstrates and promotes BNY’s Principles by role‑modelling accountability, collaboration and integrity, fostering an inclusive culture of continuous improvement, and empowering teams to challenge constructively and innovate while maintaining a strong risk and control mindset.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

  • Lead end‑to‑end planning and execution of complex, multi‑platform delivery initiatives by defining integrated delivery strategies, milestones, governance structures and success metrics that align with business priorities and BNY’s strategic pillars.
  • Drive cross‑functional coordination across product, engineering, operations and control partners by establishing clear roles, responsibilities and communication routines that promote collaboration, transparency and adherence to BNY’s Principles.
  • Oversee delivery risk, issue and dependency management across the group by applying robust risk and control frameworks, proactively identifying obstacles and implementing mitigation and contingency plans to ensure stable, resilient and compliant platforms.
  • Optimize delivery practices, processes and tooling across the Delivery group by continuously assessing performance, introducing best practices (e.g., agile, DevOps, scaled delivery models) and championing data‑driven decision‑making to enhance speed, quality and efficiency.
  • Provide thought leadership and subject matter expertise on group‑level delivery by advising senior stakeholders on prioritization, tradeoffs and investment decisions, ensuring that delivery outcomes are explicitly linked to client value, commercial impact and strategic objectives.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, learning and continuous improvement across the Delivery job family by giving structured feedback, recognizing strong performance, and encouraging teams to experiment responsibly, share best practices and continuously strengthen risk and control discipline.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a related discipline (e.g., Engineering, Business, Information Systems, or related field).
  • Advanced degree and/or relevant professional certifications in project/program management (e.g., SAFe, Agile/Scrum, PMP), agile or product delivery frameworks preferred.
  • Typically 12-15 years of experience.
  • Advanced group level platform and program delivery skills, including strategy development, portfolio planning, governance, and risk and dependency management across complex, multi stakeholder initiatives.
  • Strong planning, execution, and portfolio management capabilities, ideally within data, technology, or transformation-focused organizations.
  • Deep understanding of modern delivery practices (e.g., agile, DevOps, iterative and scaled delivery) and the ability to apply them pragmatically to improve platform performance, resilience, control effectiveness and client outcomes.
  • Experience driving end-to-end delivery across cross-functional teams, with practical knowledge of agile delivery methods, backlog management, dependency management, milestone tracking, and delivery metrics.
  • Demonstrated ability to bring structure to ambiguity, manage competing priorities, and support disciplined follow-through across complex initiatives.
  • Strong data literacy, including experience defining KPIs and OKRs, building executive-level reporting, and using analytics and visualization to inform decisions and improve outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence a matrixed organization and build credibility with senior stakeholders through clear communication, sound judgment, and disciplined execution.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and executive presentation skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear action plans and practical recommendations.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing high-performing teams, with a strong focus on coaching, accountability, engagement, and talent development.
