A private household is seeking a thoughtful, energetic nanny for two school-aged children. The right person genuinely enjoys this age group, makes learning a natural part of play, and pays close attention to the children’s social and emotional development.

Position details

• Full-time, live-out role with weekday afternoon and evening coverage
  

• Periodic travel during the school year and summers with the family on Long Island
  

• $40–$50 per hour, depending on experience
  

• Possible healthcare stipend as part of the overall package
  

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, nurturing care and guide the children’s daily routines
  

• Plan creative activities that support learning, play, and development
  

• Accompany the children to appointments, activities, and playdates
  

• Help coordinate schedules, extracurricular activities, and outings
  

• Keep the children’s spaces and belongings tidy and organized
  

• Handle the children’s laundry and pack for school, activities, and travel
  

• Communicate openly and consistently with the parents
  

Qualifications

• At least three years of professional nanny experience and strong references
  

• College education
  

• Current CPR and First Aid certification
  

• Strong swimmer who can take part in vigorous physical activity with the children
  

• Strong written and spoken English
  

• Valid driver’s license and passport
  

• U.S. work authorization
  

• Attentive, resourceful, and comfortable taking initiative
  

• Calm and adaptable when plans change
  

• Background in early childhood education or child psychology is a plus
