Field Service Supervisor – Power Systems

Key Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in power systems, diesel engines, heavy equipment, or related field service operations, including troubleshooting and repair oversight.
  • Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience, with the ability to coach, develop, and hold technicians accountable for performance, safety, and productivity.
  • Strong technical knowledge of electric power generation (EPG) systems, engines, electrical components, and diagnostic processes.
  • Proven ability to manage service operations and resources, including scheduling personnel, equipment, tooling, parts, and workload priorities to meet customer commitments.
  • Customer-focused mindset with excellent communication skills, capable of building relationships, resolving issues, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Business and financial acumen, including experience managing service profitability, productivity metrics, and operational performance goals.
  • Commitment to safety excellence, with a strong understanding of EHS requirements, risk mitigation, and promoting a culture of safe work practices.

Responsibilities

Successfully deliver and sell service of recognized superior value by providing necessary key resources (people, tooling, materials, equipment and time)

  • Effectively communicate with all stakeholders on work to be performed, changes required in scope of work, job status, etc.
  • Oversee technician performance on jobs to ensure effective, efficient completion in a profitable and safe manner (including troubleshooting assistance)
  • Assure assigned service operations are completed successfully by providing resources (information, people, parts, tooling, etc.)
  • Ensure profitable service operations, for assigned area, by meeting expectations for service dashboard

Support growth through sales support 

  • Provide a high level of customer satisfaction for assigned area (per customer surveys and feedback), in alignment with company values
  • Collaborate with EPG Field Service Manager and Product Support Sales Reps on actions for growth opportunities in promoting sales of Customer Service Agreements and product support
  • Develop close working relationship with Power Systems groups (PMs, New Sales, PSSRs, Rental) to communicate schedules, costs and coordinate work
  • Advise EPG Field Service Manager on adequate technician coverage to support sales volumes and opportunities

Qualifications
