The Staten Island Workforce1 Career Center is partnering with Seamen's Society for Children and Families to find qualified candidates for a Foster Care QA/QI Coordinator in Staten Island, NY. Position Overview

The Foster Care QA/QI Coordinator supports the quality and performance of the Enhanced Family Foster Care Program through quality assurance and quality improvement activities. This role analyzes program data, monitors compliance, conducts case record reviews, and collaborates with program leadership to improve outcomes for children and families. The Coordinator also supports audits, develops performance reports, and helps ensure compliance with agency procedures, government regulations, and HIPAA requirements.

This position is located in Staten Island, NY.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly program performance reports.
• Co-lead monthly performance meetings with program leadership.
• Develop dashboards and reports to track program performance and trends.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, site visits, and program reviews.
• Conduct case record reviews to evaluate safety, permanency, and quality of case practice.
• Monitor performance metrics and report findings to program staff and management.
• Serve as the agency liaison for the Legal Tracking System (LTS) and coordinate required communications.
• Collaborate with internal departments to support continuity of care for children and families.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 1–3 years of experience in a similar QA/QI role.
• Experience in foster care, child welfare, or human services strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) methodologies, including PDSA, CQI Cycle of Learning and Improvement, and Lean Six Sigma.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Enhanced Family Foster Care policies, procedures, and performance metrics.
• Experience using Connections, Data Warehouse, Legal Tracking System (LTS), ACS Remote Access (CARA), Safe Measures, or similar child welfare systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to travel between Staten Island and Brooklyn locations as needed; work hours may vary based on program needs.
