About the Client

We are a fast-growing claims intelligence startup building technology to help insurers and businesses identify and prevent property and casualty insurance fraud.

Our platform analyzes data across employers, insurers, contractors, and other sources to uncover fraud networks that cost the U.S. economy billions each year, delay commercial development, and undermine trust in blue-collar industries.

Backed by leading venture capital firms, we are building a new category of intelligence-driven fraud detection.

We are looking for a Head of Intelligence to build and lead the investigative intelligence capability that transforms fragmented data into actionable insights.

Role Overview

The Head of Intelligence will design and operationalize the company’s investigative intelligence function, transforming open-source and identity data into structured intelligence that feeds directly into our fraud detection systems.

This role sits at the intersection of:

  • Identity network analysis

  • Machine learning and data science

  • Investigative workflows

  • Litigation and fraud defense strategy

You will lead the development of processes and systems that convert investigative insights into scalable intelligence signals used within our proprietary fraud scoring models.

Key areas of focus include:

  • Claimant investigations

  • Identity network validation

  • Cross-claim linkage discovery

  • Social media and behavioral signal analysis

  • Structured intelligence ingestion into predictive models

Responsibilities

  • Build and lead the company’s investigative intelligence capability

  • Develop methodologies for structured OSINT collection and analysis

  • Identify and map identity networks and relationships across claims

  • Convert investigative findings into structured data signals usable by engineering and data science teams

  • Partner closely with data scientists and engineers to integrate intelligence outputs into fraud models

  • Support internal teams and external partners with fraud investigation insights

  • Develop scalable systems for intelligence gathering, validation, and documentation

Required Background

Mandatory

  • Experience working with identity network graphs

  • Demonstrated expertise conducting structured OSINT investigations

  • Strong background in data science, machine learning, or analytical modeling

  • Experience translating investigative insights into repeatable systems or workflows

Strongly Preferred

  • Military intelligence background

  • Federal or state investigative experience

  • Insurance fraud investigation experience

  • Litigation or legal support exposure

  • Experience with graph databases (Neo4j or similar)

  • Exposure to modern data or intelligence technology stacks

Ideal Candidate Profile

You think in networks rather than individuals.

You identify patterns others miss.

You are skeptical, methodical, and detail-oriented.

You are equally comfortable:

  • Running centrality or network analysis on identity graphs

  • Conducting deep OSINT investigations

  • Explaining fraud narratives to legal teams

  • Working with engineers to convert investigative intuition into structured model features
