About the Role:
Blazin Chicken & Gyro in the Bronx, NY is looking for a passionate and hardworking Full Time Line Cook to join our kitchen crew! Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items including chicken dishes and gyros to order with speed and consistency
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies before each shift
- Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation throughout the shift
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth and timely food production
- Monitor food quality and freshness, rotating stock as needed
- Adhere to all food safety and health code regulations
Requirements:
- Prior experience as a line cook, prep cook, or in a fast-paced kitchen environment preferred
- Ability to work full-time hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Strong knife skills and knowledge of basic cooking techniques
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during high-volume service
- Team-oriented with a positive, can-do attitude
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation practices
- Food handler's certification a plus
