Job Description Summary:

Under the direction of the Senior Risk Management Manager, the Litigation Docket Specialist will help oversee the day-to-day operations of the docket functions and assist with the maintenance of the docket database for our Litigation, Corporate and Administrative departments.

This position can be based in any of our U.S. office locations and offers a hybrid schedule, requiring one day on‑site per week in office, with the possibility of additional required in‑office days depending on business and client needs. During the training period, the individual must be available to work on Pacific Time. The work schedule for this position (non‑exempt) will be 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with flexibility and the ability to work overtime as needed.

Job Description:

  • Review court, agency, and client documents for relevant deadlines.
  • Calculate court and regulatory deadlines and enter information into the docket database.
  • Respond to inquiries from attorneys and staff regarding docket entries.
  • Maintain rule sets used in the docket software.
  • Provide ongoing training and exposure to our staff and attorneys on docket policies, procedures and changes to court and agency rules.
  • Monitors the electronic court filings.
  • Assist in data collection, retrieval and analysis for various Risk Management projects and routine processes.
  • Calendar 83b filing deadlines into CompuLaw.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience with automated docketing/calendaring programs. (Knowledge of CompuLaw preferred but not required.)
  • Knowledge of federal and state court structures, procedures and filing requirements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with minimal direction.
  • Proficient computer skills and with Microsoft Office, such as Word and Excel.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years calendaring experience in a law firm or legal department, and proficiency in automated docketing/calendaring programs.

The anticipated range for this position is:

$68,000 - $95,750

Depending on the role, the actual base salary offered may depend upon a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.

A discretionary bonus for eligible employees may also be available based on performance.  Additional information about employee eligibility for benefits and discretionary bonus will be made available upon request.
