Responsibilities
- Reports to Director of Human Resources, Omnicom Media Group, the Human Resources (HR) Manager, is responsible for administering and coordinating HR generalist functions in partnership with the HR Director.
- As a member of the HR team, the HR Manager will have opportunities to work with agency management in driving talent initiatives and special programs.
- Be a go-to resource to employees by answering questions and HR inquiries that come to the department
- Conduct and lead employee conversations such as exit discussions, check-ins, new-hire orientation sessions
- Periodically provide insight and analysis for Senior management Â
- Use HR metrics or other data to make recommendations and/or present solution
- Maintains the team’s historical human resource records and trackers with excellent accuracy
- The HR Manager will also assist the HR Director in delivering upon strategic and developmental needs, evaluating best practices and current operating procedures.Â
- Contribute to the development of HR department goals, objectives, and systems
- Provide employee relations support for all personnel issues (e.g. performance appraisals, disciplinary actions, conflict resolution, and ensuring federal and state compliance) conducting necessary ER meetings, providing documentation and counsel as needed in partnership with the HR Director
- Serve as the liaison with the payroll department and/or assist in payroll processing when needed
- Prepare and counsel employees on FMLA/personal leaves in conjunction with the Benefits team
- Partner with the Mobility team to manage immigration matters as they arise
- Coordinate and manage status changes and COE’s to ensure the smooth processing of all employee administrative changes in conjunction with HR Operations
- Update and prepare the weekly HR Status report for weekly department meetings
- In conjunction with the HR Director, support and administer the annual review process and communications
- Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements; conducting investigations; maintaining records
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related fieldÂ
- 3-5 years of experience in Human Resources with proficiency in an HR operations capacity
- Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skillsÂ
- Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the companyÂ
- Demonstrable experience using Human Resources metrics and dataÂ
- Handles confidential matters with sensitivity and discretionÂ
- Provides excellent customer service, understand the business needs, take initiative, and express high standards of professionalismÂ
- Ability to problem solve, be resourceful and think analyticallyÂ
- Operates with urgency; ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlinesÂ
- Exhibits proficiency with Excel and PowerPointÂ
- Superior communication skills
$50,000-$85,000
Omnicom’s policy requires employees to work in the office for a minimum of three days a week, unless additional in-office days are directed by their agency or manager. Our objective is to increase this requirement over time, and many of our agencies as well as Omnicom’s corporate group already require five days of in-office attendance.
